The Experience NJ Team Supports St. Hubert's Pet Adoption Initiative
Animal shelters are invaluable to communities around the world. They work for a noble cause: helping those who have NO VOICE. They also certainly have their work cut out for them. According to the Humane Society of the United States six to eight million animals enter shelters in the U.S. each year with less than half getting adopted.
We recently featured St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in a short video (See below). We interviewed Kim McGorty, their amazing Development & Events Manager, who talked with us about the center’s mission and dedication to the humane treatment of animals.
As team, we have committed to doing a monthly spotlight on animals in need of adoption. Our goal with this series is to make adopting a pet the first thing people think to do when they decide to bring an animal home, rather than purchasing a puppy from a breeder or puppy mill.
We want to help ensure that all pets find loving homes here in New Jersey.
Stay tuned for our monthly spotlight on our facebook page, instagram and on this blog every month.
About St. Hubert's
St. Hubert’s welcomes animals directly from guardians, rescued by their animal control officers, from overcrowded shelters across New Jersey, from disaster situations, and from distance partners.
Additionally, St. Hubert’s provides a variety of community services, including pet adoption, humane education, a pet food pantry, low-cost spay/neuter of community cats, a pet helpline, and a professional education series. They regularly advocate for animal welfare legislation and work to engage communities to help protect animals in N.J. and beyond.
They also have nationally renowned Training and Behavior Center, located at their Madison campus which offers specialized training classes and behavior consultations.
Every shelter pet is unique, but they’re all pure love!

MEET: The St. Huberts professional staff and friendly adoption policies make selecting your new pet a pleasant and joyful experience. Adoption counselors will discuss your individual preferences and arrange a “meet and greet” visitation with the many wonderful pets available for adoption. Their goal is to assist in making a match that will endure.
ADOPT: The shelter will walk you through their adoption process. Dogs and cats available for adoption have been examined, behaviorally assessed, bathed and groomed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and are spayed/neutered prior to release, including puppies and kittens. All are sent home with new collars, leashes and a supply of the food they are accustomed to eating during their stay with St. Hubert’s.
